New to Custom Roms
OK
I've rooted before using RSD Lite, SPRecovery, Etc.
I think I am now ready to venture into Custom ROMS... Is there a place I can go to compare the features, screens, etc of the various ROMS that are available?
I would probably only be interested in "Built from Source Plain Vanilla" ROMS as I want to retain all the features of the OEM OS.
Thanks

I am leaning toward Cyanogen once the release version makes it to ROM manager.

Its going to be hard to find a one stop place to compare all the roms and features and then review the themes that you can apply to each of them. I have made the rounds and loaded what I think are the top ones, Bugless, Sapphire, Chevy and Lithium. I have pretty much stayed with these only as it seems the themes are pretty well centered around those ones the most. I have all loaded the latest of those roms and configured each and saved them, now I just use whichever one floats my boat at that time. You might want to just load them configure and use them, then you can save and try the next one.
With as fast as updates come out, its hard to pick one to keep on the phone very long without updating to the latest theme or trying the latest rom.

I can tell you right now. LithMod is by the far the most stable ROM I've had yet!

Most featured rom is
#1 Ulitmate droid 7.0
#2 CM RC3
#3 Sapphire. 1.0
#4 Chevy. simply stunning
Motorola ATRIX 3.5G =D
Ginger-blur ROM 3.1
Unlocked baseband

OK so what you are saying is I can easily switch from one to another and back again without setting up my screens, etc. each time as long as I save the ROM/set up I am using?
See... I said I was new to custom ROMs!

I am new to roms as well and wanted to know where to download them? I read Andrew149's post above and did search on this forum for Ulitmate droid 7.0 but it returned pages and pages of posts. Is there a place where I can directly download them?

Always back up when changing from one rom to another. Yes you will have to reset your screens but you apps will be there. I use Titanium backup for my apps. I also have a copy of my SD on my laptop just incase. Thats the fun of changing rom, themes ....... Setting up your apps.
