Just did Easy Root, what next?

I updated last week with the Froyo that was released (unrooted at the time) and I am bored so I did the Easy Root.

What do you guys recommend I do? What's the most popular Rom? And easiest way to install it?

What is a easy root compared to real root?

Just start looking around at ROMs/themes that you like and have at it!! Just be sure to back up your current ROM and have fun!!

I Just did the easy root to, but how do I back up my current rom if I havnt downloaded any? o_O

Did you also get ROM Manager, if so just select back up current ROM. It's just something to fall back on in the event something goes wrong when flashing a new ROM or installing a new theme/kernel.

OK I just did that (it asked for super user access or something like that) And now I'm on my way to some custom roms

Awesome, have fun! One piece of advice though - always start with the "stock" ROM first; in other words, I try not to install a ROM, theme and kernel all at once. I'll first flash the dev's stock version of the ROM and run it a few days. Then add a theme and wait a few days, etc. This way if things start acting weird you'll have a good idea if it was a theme or kernel.

Another n00b question, I think I'm missing something. Every custom rom thread I go in just shows the download for the current version (and everything that is new to that version) but I think I need the actual rom on my phone before I can update it to the current version. Is that right? And if so where can I get these (BB or Chevy for example)?
