best rom for battery life?

I forgot to mention that my battery life with BB .4 and the included kernel is without using setcpu. I think that Pete hit this very well and a lot of time when I mess around mixing and matching roms/kernels and using setcpu that is when my battery life is bad. I just decided to run it the way Pete set it up and I'm honestly hesitant to try another rom at the moment because I'm so happy with the way mine runs. That's a first for sure. I was changing them all the time before this one.

I think it depends on the kernel/ROM combination. I've run Simply Stunning 4.5 with Chevy's LV1.1 kernel and had good battery life. Same with my current ROM ... I stream Pandora every morning while using the GPS and the JogTracker app. Typically I start with 100% battery and after 30-40 minutes using GPS and a continuous 1 hour plus of streaming Pandora my battery is at 70% when I am done.

I listen to iheartradio for about 3 or 4 hours and it usually is at 30 or 40% that is why i was asking. But last week I was cutting the yard and it died around 3.5 hours.
I just have plain ss4.4 that's why i was asking what is the best combo.

its funny how the same rom effects the same phone type...I always run a new rom for at least week before deciding if the battery life, heat , speed or overall performance is good or not. I find a lot of roms will run very well and respond very well the first couple of days after flashing, but then start melting down after 3 days...

So far the best results on my phone has been BB v.04

I just flashed UD 5.0.1 and its quick as hell and runs cool with chevys uLV 1.1 kernel and battery life was noticeably better. I unplugged at 8a and at 6p I had 15% left with heavy browsing and tweaking phone settings. So I hope the rom keeps on performing like it is now

i see everyone has a different opinion. If I wanted to switch to another kernel/rom from ss 4.4 how would i accomplish this?
Should I go SS 4.5 or bb .4 also what kernel should i use?

If you listen to the radio for 3 or 4 hours, it will drain your battery like that no matter what ROM you run.

can i get a rom that will allow me to listen to radio for 5 or 6 hours without draining the battery all of the way?

also with ud5.0 my temperatures are 7-10 degrees celcius lower than nayother rom i thought it was the kernal i used but while testing checy 4.6 today was back to old temps nandroid back and temp dropped again.
here is advice . if your gonna be listening to radio or songs off sd use set cpu and chage to 550mhz max its easy to switch back and forth with set-cpu. you wont notice any difference in the songs but you will in the battery.

sorry cant tell you ran bb 0.3 (didnt try0.4)once had too many problems havent run it since.

my adice above is really the only way to get decent battery life running streaming music. if your clocked to 800 or more it will eat the battery on any rom.
