Thanks a lot cereal, so no CWM but SPR, got it.... working on it...
So 3.5 is now out huh..... perhaps I'll give Ultimate Droid another chance to impress me. I keep hearing how good it's supposed to be, so must be a reason behind it....
Since I was a bit critical of 3.0, I feel that I at the very least owe this ROM another shot... will give my opinion after I try it out... cheers.
I used Clockwork and have since UD Froyo Extreme 1.0.0. It works fine. That being said this is one nice ROM. The main problem I was having since 2.5.0 was Babo Crash not working, that now works and so should other games that were not working since 2.5.0.
Stock Froyo Rooted
Installed just fine via ClockWorkMod.... and first impressions of it is that it's just as smooth as BB v0.4 was for me, right from the very beginning.
Is running a bit hotter for me even on lower voltages, and definitely on moderate voltages. Am going to try Chevy's uLV and P3Droids' kernels to see if one of them hits on running this ROM cooler on my Droid.
It did install most of my apps from the market, but several did not, which I used Titanium BackUp to reinstall.
Wondering also why the baseband version went backwards after installing this ROM??
All in all I am impressed with this version of UltimateDroid... and you know that's saying something considering how I disliked 3.0...lol
I installed it yesterday w/o a problem. However, I then installed the googles app update so I could use gmail, maps, etc. That update failed. When phone re-booted, I kept getting the "green android" to click on to initiate services after choosing a language, and when I did, it would not move past that point. It seemed to have been stuck there.
I flashed back to my beloved SS 4.4 ROM.
