I wonder if people's perception of speed and snappiness when switching to new ROMs is affected at all by the fact that most of the ROMs recommend a wipe before installing, which tends to speed up the performance of the phone regardless?

Could be but i didnt wipe going from CM 5.0.6.2 to BB v1 and still have that snappiness and so far battery life is great.

Ohhhhhh So wiping the phone is recommended when switching roms? I haven't been doing that LOL....

LOL HAHAH yeah its recommended but (some1 correct me if im wrong) its not required on SOME roms for example going from build CM ese81 to ese81 like CM to BB V1

I just switched to Bugless Beast V1 a couple days ago from UD10 and I coudlnt be happier.
My phone has never run this smooth and FAST.

I've run Cyan, UD and previous versions of BB.
This is by far the smoothest most stable ROM I've had on my phone yet.

Weird i just installed Bugless Beast V1 from ROM MANAGER and when i installed SETCPU my max allowed wsa 384mhz not even the 550mhz stock loll.. I guess i need to revert.

Pete does not recomend using SetCPU with BB 1.0. The Rom automaticaly handles the clock speed on demand.
