This is a discussion on Blackdroid - I am back within the Android Roms forums, part of the Droid Hacking category; Originally Posted by rawburt So whats the hold up on unlocking blackdroids section? Have you read all 17 pages of THIS thread? I'm sure people ...
Bro, he copied the ROM completely it was not "a mistake....simple stuf". Then he comes on the forum and essentially calls everyone stupid with his explanation of a random .xml which was just laying around and found itself in the final build. I understand you guys have painted yourself in a corner with your heavy support of BlackDroid following his banning from AllDroid for including paid apps in his builds. His work is outright plagiarism and now he is the poster child for DroidForums. You guys have went from a nice forum with lots of good info to a complete joke. Do you really think developers will continue to visit and post to this site after this? I understand you just want to have a nice forum for people to post and receive help. I understand this whole incident is preventing that. Hopefully you guys will do the right thing. Until then goodbye.
Man, this reminds me of the old Ansi art days.
Mods, please let this thread stay open. These kids are going to cry and moan forever until you let them get their anger out. Cutting the threads off will only prolong it. It will eventually stop sooner or later. After a while I guess they will realize that they don't work for these dev's, therefore they're not getting paid to be their bodyguards.
Care to elaborate? I'm just curious since the mods keep saying its all a big misunderstanding and what not, if this is truly the case, wouldn't it just be easier to just post what occurred, or what occurred to your knowledge. There are going to continue to be posts coming from both sides not only asking for that information, but arguing back and forth because of their perceived sleights. Why can't the mods just create a thread stating their findings, and have it closed so no one else posts in it. Or leave it open, but just keep it heavily moderated so that it does not get out of hand. I love this site, and have an opinion on the matter which I will not express again to keep this all civil, but ultimately the mods have a duty to the users to provide them with adequate information. That is the purpose of this site, to spread information and educate people, in a friendly way. The drama aside, this "event" is a relatively big deal in the droid community. The mods can keep the drama out, and only provide information by simply doing what was suggested above. It would be great if this site could retain users (especially knowledgeable ones) and devs.
