Cyanogen 5.0.5.4 is out

I hate cyanogen mod it sucks I flashed it lost all my apps including the market app whats a smartphone with out a market!! anyways ya for those thinking about rooting and flashing a new rom dont do it! the droid already comes good to go I learned alot through my experience rooting and flashing a new rom on my droid and that is appreciate what you have lol.

I do hope that was sarcasm. If you had done any research at all you would have known it was going to do a data wipe and that you have to check the option to install Google Apps to have the market. If you don't want to learn anything, don't root.

i had the same problem with CM 5.0.5.4. i lost my market app as well and i did check google apps prior to installing it. i finally did a data wipe/factory reset and the market app was back. but, i was getting a lot of FC when i tried to DL an app or update one of my existing apps.

In that case I would do a format of everything and start clean (system, boot, cache, data). I have never had an issue with cyanogen, even when coming from droidmod or BB.

You must always wipe data/cache when switching from another ROM to CM. Otherwise, all sorts of random bad things will happen. Like this.

Stil no help for my not being able to boot into recovery poeple. I cannot update or change roms or even restore anything till this gets fixed. Serious issue here I need to know how to fix it. I cant go back to stock cause no recovery!!

flash a sbf file and that should put you back to stock and start over

side not i was able to apply my theme except the framework with MM. i was able to pull the framework-res.apk and replace the modified pngs then push it back and it worked. latest rom

Now there are a few MM themes that you can use to theme 5.0.5.4. Smoked glass esque and nextheme works for sure.

You really shouldn't make such a brash remark about the koush's ROM. IMHO it is the best one out there. Everyone has a lot of different opinions on what ROM is best for them and it is generally based on features that appeal to them. Your statement is ignorant because you made a mistake flashing a ROM and are trying to blame the dev. If you would do some research and follow directions properly you would have your market. 5054 is more stable than stock for me and has some features that are only for advanced users like app2sd. Do not blame the skillet for burning your grilled cheese because you weren't paying attention.
