Got the auto brightness working, and led notifications are working, OH... and the Mod Version in about phone now says Cyanogen 5.0.4.2 after I figured all this out, I decided to stay with ClockworkI like how you can just leave a zip file alone and pick which file you want work with, instead of naming everything to update.zip SIMPLE

Yup the led notifications are working. No luck with auto brightness, but don't really use it anyway.
I will have to disagree there. I downloaded Koush's ROM directly from Cyanogen forums. Put it in the root directory of the sdcard and renamed it to update.zip. Boot into SPRecovery made an Advanced backup of my current setup ( IE SS 2.0.2 at 1.25Ghz). After which time I wiped cache & data from within SPR followed up by selecting install and selected the update.zip file and am good to go with Koush's ROM and never changed recovery. And I now have working backups of his work ( Koush) along with many other ROMs I've tried so I don't have to deal with swapping recoveries for now at least.
I haven't tried this but I have heard that it does work.. What I have done here is just made it easier to get the full nex theme with Koush's rom with a few modifications of my own.. really anyone can do it. I did try applying the nex theme with nandroid by naming it to update.zip but it didn't work.. If anyone wants the nextheme they will have to switch recovery images.
I am currently modifying his most recent release and will probably post it up here soon if people are interested.
Hey jrummy, you could APPLY the NEXtheme, then upload for the peeps, the latest update with the theme has autobrightness fixed, and MOD version in about phone is also displayed, I also went to Clockwork, downloaded the 5.0.4.2 installed [MM Theme] Its here, HexFusion for CyanogenMod backed up via Nandroid. So now I have both(hex-fusion & NEXtheme) on SPRecovery. I'm still on Clockwork though, Hoping that Someone will soon fix the cell stanby, and phone idle...Post em up when you're done, Love that NEXtheme...It's by far my Favorite

not sure if it's an issue from moving to sprecovery and installing, but led and auto brightness do indeed work on the 5.0.4.x versions.
settings - display - turn on trackball lighting for notifications and when screen is on, for some reason led for droid is noted as trackball? prob what the nexus phone uses? It also has functioning auto brightness but the settings are not the same as stock. it works though. go into a dark room and open the keypad you'll see. just be careful of themes you install as if they are not made for the rom they will break auto brightness and perhaps other things.
Yeah... I will be uploading my modified version with all the fixes tonight or tomorrow.
Bro, Have you heard anything on the cell standby and Phone idle? That is really the only Beef I have with this Rom. I wish that would get fixed, I know it's probably a lot of work, and I don't want to be a complainer, but I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened my Droid and had a dead battery.
