    ESE53 and ERE25 2.1 ROM Differences

Besides 53 being the later build and 25 being the previous release candidate, what are the technical difference between these..

Does anyone have pro's and con's between the two?

I know the live wallpapers are interactive without using a 2.1 launcher, only 3 screens though.

Only difference so far that i've heard of.

That's a pretty weak difference no offense

I should have said it's the only observable difference.
There could be (and probably are) performance tweaks and bug fixes, etc.

    Its faster.

Were you expecting a changelog with a leaked release?

Its been hinted in other places that call quality was improved upon.
    Gmaps 4.0 is included.

lol. I dont think you need to worry about anybody getting offended. And, what were you expecting? These are all essentially betas for the same OS, it should only be minor fixes and tweaks

LWP are interactive, OS feels faster to me, and the Droid LWP is included. 3 screens vs. 5.

    Ok, potentially stupid question here:
As far as I know a Nandroid backup really only backs up the "user accessable" content (/system, /data, boot, etc), and not anything else that might be in the sbf file (like radio firmware). Adrynalyne mentioned possibly better call quality - which would lead me to think that the radio firmware might be different.
Does anyone know if there is any difference between flashing the sbf file vs. using a nandroid backup to go from 2.01 to ESE53? I know with my Omnia I had to flash the full firmware upgrade once to upgrade the radio firmware before I could start using custom roms. I don't want to be missing out on a firmware upgrade that could help reception/quality out (I get crummy reception in my apt).

BTW Adrynalyne - you always had the best Omnia Roms back in the day.

I noticed so far that with the ESE53 build, the contacts shortcuts that you place on a desktop actually show up without being clipped off by the status bar when you tap them.
With ERE25, they always showed up at the top of the screen and were clipped off by the status bar.

So far, me like. The droid live wallpaper seems to be really low resolution, not sure what's up with that.

I Have flashed a couple different ERE roms, I figured since this is the build devs are going to concentrate on, may as well have it eh! .......while in my journeys, wiping, Rom jumping, so on and so forth, I've noticed something that never happened before, jumping from rom to rom....every once in awhile my droid will just reboot! Not sure why, I have convinced myself that it's from going back and forth so many times. So in conclusion ...I'm going to flash the sbf file and build off petes v0.5. I have .4 with chevs1.1 kernel and right now I couldn't be happier, I'm just a sucker for the NOW AND THE NEW!
