Android 2.1 Update Available For Motorola Droid and Droid Eris Via Leaked ROM - Motorola droid 2.1 - Gizmodo read it on gizmodo this morning, its on xda also....why is this not on the front page today? or is it just too early in the morning?lol

My guess would be its early. We are already seeing the leaked droid sbf ere25 and ROMS in development with that over the week, so a lot of devs are too busy with that at the moment. I'm sure someone will play with this and pull some goodness though.

The DROID info they are talking about *is* the ERE25 that's the basis of several new ROMs that came out in the last couple days. So, nothing new on the DROID front. The Eris stuff, now that is awesome news for people that have them - being stuck on 1.5 really blows.
