I use the update.zip method
Update.zip Installation Info & Instructions (No Data Loss):
-You can upgrade from any rooted ROM that is 2.0.1
-Be sure to have signed into your Google account before installing
-Update (if available) all of your apps before installing
-Download update.zip
-Uninstall any apk & odex files I previously moved to /data (Only If Installing Over 0.7 Or Previous ROMS)
-Place update.zip on the root of sdcard
-Reboot into recovery
-Install
-Allow update.zip installation
-Install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated)
-Enjoy!
with BB 1.1, the OC kernel is excluded. You have to pick from one of the available optional kernels if you want to take it above stock. I chose Sholes...I don't think there is a bunch of difference between the various flavors of OC kernels...but I could be wrong.
If you want to OC:
after you install the BB 1.1 pick an optional kernel. Download it and change the name to update.zip and drop it in your SD Card. Follow the same steps above. Then go to SETCPU and pick your desired frequencies.
has anyone tried this kernel yet?? "t3hSteve 600 MHz (recommended)" does it only go up to 600 though???
total noob question, but how do i
"-Uninstall any apk & odex files I previously moved to /data (Only If Installing Over 0.7 Or Previous ROMS)"
I installed over DroidMod 1.0. Not sure if i need to do the uninstall - or how to do it if i did!
thanks in advance for your help.
so how bugless is this? we all know the past about 4 releases have been pretty bad. is this one finally a good stable one?
