Is installing BB really just a matter of copying update.zip to the root of the SD card?? i could just keep my original backup from sholes as my backup and not worry about making a new one, yes?
I installed it about 30 minutes ago and WOW. It's smooth and stable. This is the first time my Droid has ever been stable above 1.0Ghz. I had tried every kernel and could not go above 1. This ran fine at 1.1 and at 1.2. Everything seems smooth and steady right now. The benchmark is lower, but not as much as I thought it would be. I got a 159 and many 160/161's.
It is not reading the CPU temp. It's stuck at 89F. I'm going to uninstall Temp Monitor and reinstall and see if that gets it back.
I'll check additional functions shortly.
anyone out here try the update.zip version?
Sorry, I didn't say in my post above. I used the update.zip file.
My cpu temp is not reading properly. I'm stuck at 89F. I uninstalled Temp Monitor and reinstalled it and it's still stuck. I'm going to do anything else to it tonight, but tomorrow I may reinstall the rom. But I will say, if this is the only problem, I'm sticking with this wicked fast rom.
you can use the update.zip for the no data wipe (since you still using a 2.01 based rom)
I came from a 2.1 based rom so nandroid method for me
