Questions about the new 2.1 rom.

Is there already a way to root 2.1 on the DROID when it comes out and is it worth unrooting and getting the 2.1 ota since it could increase firmware stability?

No there is not a way to root the official 2.1 ROM because it doesn't exist yet....when it does get pushed out just give it a day or 2 and i guarantee there will be an exploit found in order to root it...

But the truth is and the realtiy of it is, no one know3s....and nor will anyone know until some people start receiving the OTA...

yes it is, but it was made from source and not from the n1 source I believe and not the motorola/verizon rom for the droid.

So it won't work for 2.1 and it won't work for 2.0.1 on my droid either?

Yes it works on the DROID...... I was just stating that it was not made from motorola source code specifically for the droid. There are many tweaks being made to 2.1 to suit the droid better hence the reason you don't see the official update yet.

The 2.1 firmware will probably increase stability and some issues so it should be downloaded eventually right? Since when it comes out people will immediately start ripping it apart looking for exploits so we'll have 2.1 roms available eventually. Also does anyone know anything about Simply Stunning is it comparable to the other roms?

Everything good will be gutted and ROM'd up for us within days. I use BBeast, I "Believe" SS doesn't have multi touch browser or gallery so I dont see the point..

SS is awesome and very stable when not useing livewallpaper but for me that's the only real draw of 2.1 lol
