Updated to 7.5 at work and loving it. Running really smooth.

what color is your facebook widget?
and can you set you cpu to 550 while plugged into the wall outlet?

ok i have BB 0.7.4 and am gonna upgrade to 0.7.5 but first a few questions..

I am going to follow these instructions from his page:
Update.zip Installation Info & Instructions (No Data Loss):
-You can upgrade from any rooted ROM that is 2.0.1
-Be sure to have signed into your Google account before installing
-Update (if available) all of your apps before installing
-Download update.zip
-******Uninstall any apk & odex files I previously moved to /data (Only If Installing Over 0.7 Or Previous ROMS)******
-Place update.zip on the root of sdcard
-Reboot into recovery
-Install
-Allow update.zip installation
-Install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated)
-Enjoy!

for the step I starred, how do i uninstall these old files??

also, will this reset my home screens back to default and what about apps i have paid for

don't need to delete those, well I didn't went I went from 7.3 to 7.4

your fine just power up holding X
then install
select install.zip
your good to go

I've used those instructions a half dozen times or more and I've skipped that step every time and my phone is doing fine.

This method does not affect your apps and my home screens, assuming do not change because I've been using Beast for a long time and it's had the 5 screen home for a while. If you are using the stock 3 screen home, you may have to repopulate it.

um i have installed the smupdater6 to root my phone, and does that mean with the bugless beast's update.zip thats all i would have to do to load up his rom w/ being able to keep my stuff, and with the original update.zip from 2.01 would i be able to downgrade back again?

I'm upgrading from B.B 7.4. I had to install wifi tether myself with the .apk in the root. Since 7.5 is supposed to come with wifi tether, can I delete the .apk from my sd card's root now?

yeah thats fine its not running from your sdcard so no big deal deleting it.

just upgraded, so far everything seems to be working except metamorph. It keeps saying "some files cannot be extracted, please make sure you have enough free space in/system and that busybox is installed!". But I thought busybox came with bugless beast, at least it did with 7.4. How do I fix this? I wanna get my custom icons back

did a wipe and then a fresh nadroid restore of 7.5 and setcpu is still f'ed up.

If it was me, I'd do the update.zip method and install 7.4. After I was assured it was working properly, including Setcpu, I'd then reinstall 7.5 via update.zip. If that did not solve the problem, I would then use the Taz 1.0 kernel and follow Taz' instructions. That should give you the stability of Beast and the chip temperature reading and Setcpu.

Just remember all our phones are different now. good luck.

it worked properly yesterday when i put the kernel from 7.4 back on. i tried taz's kernel yesterday on top of 7.4, realized it wasn't working and then put petes kernel back on and it instantly worked perfect again.

i am at a total loss as to why i would be the only person having this issue. i even tried a fresh install and still nothing. i'm going to have to go back to the kernel from 7.4, but then of course ill loose my cpu temps again.

Jason - I owe you an apology. Mine is doing the same thing as yours. I was just looking at the widget changing when I plugged the phone in. Didn't even notice the actual speed never dropped.
