Sholes for the ease of operation
Sholes for simplicity and options. You can go from unrooted stock OS to an awesome ROM with smoked glass theme in less than 30 minutes. Everything in the Updater is automatic so newbies don't have to use the adb shell to get started, and the options given in the ROM installation make it easy.

Does anyone have screen shots of Sholes? What are the main differences from BB? I run BB right now because it was the first one I saw that I could overclock, basically. Nowhere can I see a "differences" thread in my admittedly limited searching.
ok. couple of questions.
1st---What are the known issues with the sholesmod? ie. excessive battery drain? wi-fi issues???
2nd--- What difference will i see comparing it with stock
3rd--- How dangerous on a scale of 1 to 10 is it to install the sholesmod update? Keep in mind I am computer literate and can do things such as install complex home networks and troubleshooting of all sorts for standard PC issues. Do you think i would have a problem installing?
4th--- will there be issues with OTA updates?
(don't want to screw up my phone)
1) Some people have had issues with Maps in the latest release, I've had no issues whatosever
2) It'll be rooted for you, you'll have access to free tethering, you wont have any of Verizon's crapware on your phone/
3) Maybe a 2 -- you'd have to basically not follow the onscreen directions to screw anything up. I did it 3 times yesterday, having not done it ever before, and I've had no problems.
4) Dont know -- I've heard it'll still accept OTA updates, but I've also heard that it wont. Worst case scenario is you send it back to stock (using the Sholes Loader) and then download the OTA update.
I was with beast for awhile, and decided to try out sholes. I went back to beast (it was just a bit more stable for me overall, and I prefer the slightly darker notification bar, honestly.) But, I'm glad I have the updated and I may try switching again as updates roll out. The only thing I liked from sholes that best didn't have (the option fot the 2.0 lockscreen) was added as an optional patch by pete literally later in the day that I switched. At this point, I've kicked in a bit to both (and adamz, for contributing the theme. and taz)
