I did a reinstall yesterday, after a day of JIT I was having random crashes and reboots, it seems to be more stable, though I still have weird issues at weird times. Not enough to make me kill the mod, but things like getting a text message while have my music on, turning and pulling out the keyboard and the phone suddenly reboots. Weird crap like that.
Otherwise, the mod is fast, which is a big step in the right direction. I originally ran Sholes but a previous update just turned my phone into a snail, so I went to bugless. I do think there's more potential for Sholes though, the sholes.info team seems a lot more into the idea of developing new stuff rather than a collection of everything tossed into one mod.
It was in the menu screen and it was at the point of extracting data. I really had no choice but to remove the battery. I rebooted and the menu came up again, then I got a error notice regarding aborted steps I think that at this point I'm going to quit the process and try to get it back to the original state. I'll let you know if it works, thanks.
edit:in2.0.2 there is no option for jit so u should be good in this update

Ok, I am thinking of Rooting and installing a custom ROM... but (of course) I am nervous about destroying my phone.
I am currently running the stock 2.01 ROM, not rooted. I see some ppl saying this SMUpdater is the greatest thing since coffee, and others saying it causes lots of problems. Finally I saw someone say that it seems to work fine for those who are ALREADY rooted, but causes problems for those who use it to do the entire shootin-match.
What would be the recommendation for someone like me? I am not rooted, but I am nervous that I will do something wrong - the concept of a program that does it all for me sounds VERY appealing... but if that is going to cause problems, then obviously that would concern me.
Thank you for your time,
Hey I got a question guys...
I just installed 2.0.2 about 20 minutes ago....and I've been searching for some place to enable JIT, and I can't find it anywhere...do you still enable it the same way that we've been able to use JIT for a while now? like from the computer with the "on" and "off" scripts you can download from this site?
But since I've been thinking about it, I don't remember JIT being an option to install in the install process in SPRecovery???
Go to that thread, and root and install ADB....then install the SMupdater or install another ROM if you would like...
