What happened?

I was running SSX as my phone rom and wanted to boot to Darkslide from boot manager. It would not boot so had to power down and restore. First question is why wouldn't darslide boot through bootmanager?
When I went to restore i wanted to restore my latest backup. Which should have been running SSX I did the backup last night. I tried to restotre through clockwork recovery and selected the backup file. I got an error message that reads "MD5 mismatch!" What the hell is this?
I was able to restore to a previous backup which is the stock rom and did not have to reset up the phone. It is still rooted and I have all apps etc. etc.
Any thoughts or input?

This was happening a lot, they released an update for clockwork to resolve that issue.
