Foolish question

OK. So I have googled my face off for the last 3 days for a total time of about 20 hours looking for a answer. Maybe I'm just missing something maybe I'm not to have liberty 3 on my X2. But i have rooted my phone. Use ti backup. Installed cwm and the bootstrap app that i paid for. I have followed every instruction from uninstalling the apps and reinstalling. To a sbf and start over. But i cant seem to get cwm to boot into recovery even once i had plugged into the wall vs. The power strip just to make sure. I tried the bootstrap app as well and same result. I cant seem to be able to install liberty on my phone. Any suggestions? Questions. Maybe a guide i missed in my searches.
