If I still have issues with rebooting when mounting/unmounting the SD card or multiple reboots then I would rather go back to stock. I love the look of this ROM, but the reboot issues are not tolerable for me. Waiting for it to finish loading all my apps back before I test the reboot issue.
Using root explorer follow the path
/etc/security
There is a file there called otacerts, should be named otacerts.zip.BAK for blocking ota updates or otacerts.zip to allow ota updates.
Cheers

OK, thanks, it wasn't renamed .bak so I should be good.

oh snaps so according to my etc/security I have a file OTAcerts.ZIP why wasn't the .zip.bak file loaded when I installed the ROM ?
and anyone with info how I can uninstall Swype, this is really getting fustrating ;(
When I installed the Rom I did format SYSTEM: and format CACHE:
but when I installed it said 15.) Choose ONLY "System" and "Boot" to be restored. (I only provided those two, keep your Data. (Only if upgrading from previous version of Wi-Fi Tether App below - WIPE DATA.)
My old Home 2.01 launcher was installed as was my widgets and icons on the home screens.I figured I had wiped every thing and would have to install all my apps from the backup I had made with Astro

You should be able to use root explorer and go to
/system/app
And delete or rename swype to. BAK at the end of the apk. Same for the otacerts, if it doesn't have the .BAK at the end just rename it but I wouldn't delete it.
Renaming to .BAK is working smart because that way if you decide it was something you wanted/needed you can always go back and rename it and remove the .BAK

so what happens of I enable the ota? without unrooting or installing this rom?

OK, I did the wipe using the ADB as suggested and have restarted my device a couple times and no triple reboot loop and I also mounted and unmounted the SD card to my laptop, copied files etc with no spontaneous reboots. I will have to watch it for a couple days though because this did not happen for me on 2.5 for the first couple days either then just started happening, can't figure out the cause.
One other issue remains though, I am still getting the pop-up saying there is an error on removable disc F. I can continue without fixing and things seem to work. If I tell it to scan and fix, it scans quickly and the box closes and it dismounts the card, but it never says if it found errors or not or if they were fixed. It does continue to pop up with that message even after I tell it to scan and fix if I connect and mount the card again.
This error did not occur until the spontaneous reboots when mounting occurred. Should I format the card and load my folders back on afterwards? Pros or cons to this?

Well since nobody else is chiming in.... I would have to say yes, backup your card and then format it. I will say that I had the exact same issue with an 8GB card in my Touch Pro2 but the card worked great in my Storm and my Droid just not in my tp2. I never did figure that one out...

I installed the SMUpdater, but would like to try this one. Is having the SMUpdater going to make installing this one a bit easier? If so could someone give me a brief step-by-step (if possible) or a few pointers of how to do this? I almost hate to ask, but I just gotta try the HQ video recording!
Or if anyone can show me how to just enhance the video recording only - that be awesome as well!

Astro would not let me rename the file
Linda allowed me to click rename, but not save.
would Root Explorer allow me to actually save the file name?
EDIT: Fuggit I just bought the app... maybe this will replace Astro and Linda
