2 week lag

Whenever I install a new ROM, I think "ok finally I can stick with this ROM cuz it is awesome", but then inevitably the 2 week lag hits and the phone slows to a crawl. Browser starts freezing, everything starts lagging to the point where it becomes unusable, basically the whole phone slows down to the point where only a factory reset and installation of a new ROM fixes it. I'm sure there's an easier way to make the phone go back to how it was when the ROM was first installed.

I've tried cachemate, but that doesn't do much, I've tried rebooting, that doesn't help either. What other methods are there to keep the phone running smooth after the initial 2 weeks on a new ROM?

I have begun to believe it might have something to do with the oom groupings or memory settings in general because everytime my starts lagging up I just run the supercharger script on balanced 2 and things seem to clear up. Other than that clear cache(I see you did that) and maybe dalvik as well? Good luck finding something that works for you.

thanks for the reply man...i have already run the supercharger script once, are you saying that whenever i experience the lag i should just rerun it? i haven't tried that, and that's something i can do if that's what you're suggesting

and yeah i've cleared caches and dalvik but doesnt help much

Yeah I just re run it everytime things get bogged down. I'm finally able to use miui on a stable level because of this and couldn't be happier

just ran it again with balanced 2, rebooted and it does appear to have worked! gonna keep an eye on it and run it one more time if/when it lags again to see if it really does help or if it's just placebo haha
