Man! It's has been hard to stick to a Rom since Gingerbread came out!
I've been flashing one after another after another. (You get my point) I've gone back to PE 4.2 Several times, but always reach out to the newest GB for better battery life. Then back to Froyo for better memory management, But back to GB cause the newest needs to be on my D1.
What is everyones " Set it and forget it" rom.

Seems to me if you want daily driver stability, stick with a froyo rom.
With that said, I've yet to find one more stable, with more features and faster than Sourcery. Its technically unsupported, but that just means to not expect more updates. It doesn't need it though. Even with months of no updates, its still far ahead of any other froyo rom in terms of features.
Despite being "unsupported" you'll find plenty of help in their forum though.

Thanks for the info on Sourcery. I'll give it a shot. I keep hearing it's a good Rom, but like you said, nobody is really talking about it.
Thanks for the Suggestion.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I haven't found my set it and forget it yet..........I've been using miui 1.3.5 just because I like it when my phone has a completely different look. I really don't like the stock look.
And yes, sourcery is the $h1t. Very supportive

Set it and forget it was GimpSquad1.0AOSP.
Froyo 2.2.2 no bells no whistles, just pure "it works."

There's no such thing as a "set it and forget it" ROM......
Not for me anyway

Mine is still CM7, the latest Nightly Builds are ridiculously stable. Still have some issues to work out on them like the fact that there are 3 kernels you can use with it for the USB Transfer connection to work. As far as I know it only works with the stock kernel, Primes Kernel and I think Peter Alfonso's Kernel. Maybe Chevy01's Kernel too but I'm not sure. Other than that though CM7 is definitely my set it and leave it ROM.

I have been using Liquid GB 1.85 for the last 2 days. Man, 2.3.4 is so snappy!
This seems very smooth and responsive. Battery life could be better. I need to make a decision on whether Froyo or GB will be the set it and forget it for me.
Thanks for everyone opinions. Maybe PE 6 Final could be the next best GB Rom when released.

Sapphire, 100%. It may be froyo but the stability and features are unmatched.

I would agree with you, however, DF took all the Sappire stuff down. The Sapphire/Ruby site is down, and the only DL I can find was to a froyo 2.2 Rom. Is that really the Final Froyo version of Sapphire? 7.0?
