Data/Throttle Mod

I don't think there's a debate personally...it flat out worked for me!

I've read that a lot of the major carriers such as verizon don't keep the throttling files on the devices it's rather on their side which is why people have stopped because there's nothing we can do on say verizon they just include the stuff because of the set up of android but the files are not actually used but on the lower carriers the files are used and the effects are noticable. I can't confirm really nor deny this when I tried the hack a while back I noticed absolutely no difference on my d1 on verizon I think the hack has disappeared for the most part because there is a lot of belief that the throttling is on the carriers side thus these hacks do absolutely nothing

That's y there is debate, the "hack" itself has nothing to do with speeding up the connection, as its more to stop verizon from "throttling" ur connection

Yea it doesn't speed you up it just keeps you from slowing down later on after you start to use a lot of data i think a lot of it is more psychological honestly

you're on wifi in both of those pics...don't think verizon can throttle your wifi...

you are totally right! and my wifi seemed to be ALOT faster using that mod/hack...I could see no difference on verizons network whatsoever...I was more or less using it to speed up my wifi access youtube,downloads,etc...was alot faster!

Verizon has nothing to do with your wifi, so any improvement you see with wifi has nothing to do with the throttle mod. The throttle mod is placebo and does nothing for 3g.
