I installed Lithium NG 0.0.5 on my Motorola Droid and I can't install any apps
I used ROM Manager to download and install Lithium 0.0.5 NG Blue (Default) 1.25Ghz (Default) with Google Apps. I did this from a CyanogenMod 6.12 (might be a little off but the last stable build before 7.0.0 RC#).
I did this twice (the first time was with the red theme and 1.1Ghz w/ Google Apps and reverted and tried again with the defaults.
In both builds, I was able to use the market app ONE time to install ONE application from the android market. After which, the market process (com.android.vending) immediately force closes and then force closes again shortly after clicking force close the first time. (this happens without fail every single time)
I have already tried just about every posted resolution for the market fix I could find including clearing the market data, market cache, making sure Google Talk is running.
I even manually downloaded the Apps Installer 0.2.1.apk to try to install apps from my SD card, but that application fails almost immediately after running it when a loading circle indicates that it is scanning the SD card. It force closes and then after that first run, it immediately crashes on run.
The only way I can install apps right now is by downloading the .apk online.
Any help would be appreciated, I am just trying to get a solid fast ROM working with a kernel that goes up to around 1.1GHz.
Edit 1:
I found an excellent alternative: https://market.android.com/
Also, I installed root explorer and am able to view my SD card and install apps from there as well.
I still want to get my android market working though!
Edit 2:
Update on the alternative, market.android.com only worked for one, maybe two apps..... and now it thinks the other ones I clicked to install are installed but they aren't. They don't even go to my phone.
Edit 3:
I even tried installing the blue market (Install Blue Android Market 2.2.7 On Nexus S And Other Android Phones) by replacing the vending.apk in /system/app with an external one, but when i click to install it, it says app not installed. my market icon is also not blue...
