Samsung Vibrant Rom

I am looking for a stable rom for a samsung vibrant that is still 2.2 froyo and has wifi tethering and root access built in. Most roms seem to be at 2.3 and not really sure how stable they are since they are relatively new still.

The Rom is not for me, but a co-worker. She really only wants the wifi tethering app.

if she updates using samsung kies to 2.2, it already has wifi tethering without any app. it is in the settings under wireles and networks and of course its not rooted. but answering your question bionix v 1.3 by team whiskey is a stable rom. thats actually the one I am currently using. its pre rooted and lag fixed, doesnt have the wifi app since, like i said, 2.2 has wifi and usb tethering enabled under settings. mobile app and tethering.

Is it free tethering, or is it a separate broadband charge?

yes it is free tethering. both wifi and usb tethering.
