Best Froyo Rom

I have tried all the GB Roms and got tired of the memory issues. Liquid was by far the best but apps were still closing and even with the mms locked in memory I was missing texts.

I understand this is open to personal preference but I am looking for a stable Froyo Rom with good speed, compcache and the Galaxy S Widget built in.

Any suggestions?

after trying just about all the GB roms out i decided to stick with MIUI. still froyo based and updated like every week, however i think they are going GB soon, so... RIP froyo

The Best Froyo Rom, Sourcery Rom.

It has features still unheard of in any of the GB Roms. It is listed in the Developer Archives but still very many active users. Best battery life and stability better then stock.
It is based on Froyo 2.2.2

Quick tip, install 2.0 first and then 2.2 and Don't forget Gapps.

Hands down Project Elite 4.2 is the best Froyo Rom out right now.

Thanks for all the help... Haven't tried any of these yet. Looks like I got some work to do. Chizelle, I noticed on Sourcery's site he has a full install of 2.2. Is there a reason I should install 2.0 and then 2.2 or is it basically the same thing? Since you made the extra post I just wanted to make sure.

Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in here ... I too was back to froyo after a GB "go round". However, I flashed Simply Stunning 5.2 to port my themes and I have stayed with it. Chevy did some tweaking with the memory management settings and it really shows! I haven't had the apps closings or 3G drop after calls like I did with other ROMs. Now I am not a huge texter, so I can't speak of that issue.

But, with that being said, if I were to go back to froyo I am with Chizzele. Sourcery all the way!!! Rock solid stability, GREAT battery life and some kick a$$ features ...

And I believe the reason he told you to flash 2.0 is because there is something up with the 2.2 ROM .zip and it wont flash. But the 2.2 update .zip is okay. So, start with 2.0 (AND gapps) and then upgrade to 2.2.
