Can't run ANY ROM!

Well as long as you can get ROMS and kernels loaded up you're in business. All droids respond differently to different roms and kernels. You really just gotta keep trying them to find out which combination works best for you. UD2.5, PE4.2, CM6, BB0.6.2.1, SS4.X, RZ0.4, LFY4.9 (guess we like to abbreviate around here...lol), and many others are all good, proven froyo ROMS, you just gotta figure out which ones work for you and which ones don't.

this is the only rom i got to even run.

every other rom i ran ended up being a disaster that completely messed up my phone and recovery so i'm getting nervous experimenting.

can someone give me some links to kernals i could try to flash with this rom since this rom is working better than any other i tried?

For froyo roms I had the best luck with p3droids kernels (http://www.p3designs.info/kernels/). For GB, I've had the best luck with raidzero's (you can find them in his section).

This may be a dumb question but to flash a new kernal it's the same as a rom right?

I just reboot into recovery and run the zip?

Would it make sense at this point to just call in my insurance say I lost my phone, pay the $50 bucks, and get a new droid to root?

It seems there is a hardware issue with this phone since no kernals or ROMS are running.

Saying you lost it is fraud and that's not allowed here on DF.

Yes, flashing a kernel is exactly the same process as flashing a ROM except you don't do a wipe, just a backup.

I'm not suggesting fraud I could throw it on the floor or just throw it away. I pay for insurance so I can do that if I want. I have verizon anyway so the phone can't be activated again once reported missing.

They sold me a defective product anyway.
