    stock kernel

    Does anyone know where I can download the stock droid kernel for Froyo in an update.zip format? I looked through the FRG83D thread but I didn't see any links.

    Well, I wanted the stock kernel because it's compatible with the Milestone Overclock application. The overclock.ko module doesn't seem to work with any of the custom kernels available. I wanted to use the app on some of the custom ROMs out there that don't come with the stock kernel. Thanks though.

    its in there flash that rom an you will get the stock kernel,,,, you can open it up and see if the boot loader is compatible with the roms...

    It's not actually the stock kernel that's compatible with the app it's the stock CM kernel . Cyanogenmod has the kernel available on his site but I dont think it will work with anything but CM.

    I'm sure if someone wants to modify the app it will work. Maybe get in touch with the devs that modded it?

    Well, milestone overclock works just fine with MetickMod so that can't be the case . A guy named Prime compiled a custom milestone overclock module to work with the CM kernel, but the standard MO module is designed to work with the stock droid kernel. Anyway, i'm just gonna stick with CM for now. Thanks for your help though.

    Yeah no problem. I'll have to try it out then. Like I said though, CM has his "stock" kernels available on his site. Try flashing it to other roms. I would expect it to work with a few source roms. Most of the source roms around are from cm.
