UD, while some may say it is more polished, actually has a lot of bloat in it that will slow you down as you approach the limits of your memory.

I have more apps installed now on CM nightly than I did on UD, yet in CM I have 120+ MB free for apps whereas in UD I was falling under 70 MB. Both ROMs allowed me to move a helluva lot more apps to the SDCard than normal, an I moved every single on I could, except for apps I have widgets for and apps like SetCPU, which run constantly so should not be moved.

Plus, UD had twitter, Facebook, and others already integrated into system, and yet CM still has more space free.

I've run UD 3 for 2+ weeks now as my daily ROM and I can say that it really is not worth it, unless you have very few apps / a huge amount of space left in your memory for apps.

If you want eye candy, all of them will give it to you - and all of them will have issues with the accelerometer, compass an light sensor, thus far.

UD wins only in adblocking - they ported over the older scripts to block ads, and it is 90% effective (does no block Pandora ads anymore).
i believe by default in CM moving stuff to the sdcard is on by default,m with UD it is not. check ur app in the manager and see how many say on sdcard or move to phone. I would assume this is why actually. bc i noticed it to and noticed in CM menu bc im on the new nightly that its enabled by default to install on the sdcard. install ud 3.0.0 clean and the option is set off by default. But thanks bc in the ud thread ill add that install to sdcard is off by default so people now.

You're incorrect. I manually moved those apps myself, in both ROMs. The CM nightlies don't have three sets of wallpapers, plus the theming app, plus a few other things that UD does.

You may think that I'm new to this, but I've been ROMing and theming my DROID for a year now - I'm also a phone guide for the DROID over at AF. I *do* know what I am talking about.

Plus, the 'UD settings' app that is included is a direct 1:1 setting per setting of the Cyanogen Mod Settings app. Both have the setting for installing apps to SDCard set to auto by default.

I can easily flash a brand new stock UD and post the screen shots, along with a stock CM nightly, if you'd like. In addition, I can post screen shots of the memory usage on a stock UD and stock CM nightly as well.

I've been posting the the UD forums as well - mostly good and some not so good.

And in case you're wondering, here is a list of the apps I have installed in UD:

    Phone: Motorola Droid
    125 total, 103 free (82%), 22 paid (17%), 82MB total size, $96.33 total price

In contrast, I have the same apps in CM nightly along with:

And yet I have 50 MB more free.

Ud is cyanogen mod... its all forked from their repo, almost nothing is changed besides apps built in to /system which ud has quite a few more built in by default. And cyanogenmod has an app called pacman, it installs google apps to /data its mainly for devices that don't have a lot of room in /system. But Ud doesn't have pacman in their build because this app was just recently added. Or because they don't want to add cyanogenmod apps to their build.

Things need to calm down in here, and in a hurry. Infractions and vacations are next up, if not overdue
