    yes, i've confirmed that it is a problem with gps and google.com requesting location. just change your homepage and you'll be good until someone gets the gps figured out

    not sure if the light sensor is working correctly either.

    could help narrow down the gps/acc/hardware interface issue

    Actually not that strange as WiFi networks are used to establish location as well. Since it knows where it is based on the WiFi connection, it doesn't try to hit GPS. In theory, setting Google's location settings to only use cell towers should also resolve the issue.

    I wonder how many of these issues would be fixed by using the new 2.6.35 kernel version. everything I've seen so far has been the same froyo 2.6.32. That could easily be the problem with the usb mass storage and other hardware interfaces not working properly. Any kernel devs out there?
