Riding on my wave of success from getting Gapps to work FINALLY (LoL) I thought I would try and see what would happen if I flashed a Froyo kernel on top of Gingerbread. Lucky guesses FTW! I used this one: http://chevyno1.richstevenson.com/fr...lot-update.zip - Thanks to Chevy!
I just picked a random one that would not stress out the phone too much and that I knew was a solid stable performer. Oh, and notice the Wifi signal at the top right? Yea, that works too...
Edit: Tried something a little more stout.Slayher LFY 1200 interactive kernel. Mmm Gingerbread baking at 1200 mhz. Tasty. http://android.markjohnston.us/DL/LFY/KERNELS/ Thanks Slayher!
Have not gotten any faster Slayher kernels to work. Tried the 1225/1250/1275 ones. No luck there. I do have the jdlfg 1233 running though....

12-19-2010 12:33 AMI wrestled with that ALL day man. Flashed probably at LEAST a dozen times...most likely more than that. All kinds of different things to get the Gapps permissions to be read on first boot and nada. Like I mentioned in the other post, I'm not a dev. More of a themer with some random knowledge here and there and a lot of play time.
