Granted but i'd never find the file and neither would the phone.
is there any way you can meld the two together?
No, unfortunately that was the problem all day today. The only way anyone can get it working due to some odd permissions problems is to flash the rom with the gapps rolled in it OVER the base no Gapps rom. You'll just have to wait till you get home and download them on the computer and download the first one, rename, wipe, flash, boot, then rename the other one the same way and don't wipe and flash over. Should work the same way. Hope that helps!
I'm at home right now. When gingerbread loads up, it doesnt recognize that i've put a usb cable into it, therefore i can't drop anything else onto the phone without rolling back to froyo. See what i'm getting at?
it won't even get past "installing update" for me. After wiping everything.
Running great on my phone. Except quadrant gets an internal error when it gets to video decoding.264. Sucks cuz i really wanted to see how this would stack up against froyo.

Also had to reinstall all my apps through titanium.
Edit: comes with interactive governor too. GB is living up to its potential already
Edit#2: music works to an extent. It stops at a couple seconds into the song but it comes back.

Guys, it is a known issue that USB is not recognized yet. That's with all 3 builds that are floating around. It's not something I broke. You just have to do it the hard way and mount USB storage in Recovery. I'm not sure of SPR, but Clockwork has this and is very helpful.
As far as wiping goes, I get ridiculous with it and format boot/system/data/cache as well as wipe factory and cache. It really doesn't take much time, and might help with issues for later.
If you were around when 2.1 / 2.2 switch happened, you'll remember that the Market did not update automagically either. It will recognize which apps you paid for still, but it is what it is.

The thing is, Clockwork really doesnt work for me, otherwise i'd be all over this right now.
