Looks great metiCkOne. I had a few questions though that I was hoping someone could help me with. I am currently rooted, and running Pete's FRG22 Odexed Stock Froyo. I love having the stock look, but with a few goodies under the hood. I am really considering flashing to this as it is the latest iteration available for my D1. My questions are:
- Will there be a noticeable performance difference between the deodexed and odexed versions? I understand the concept, and I would really like to run the deodexed version so I can remove the Twitter, Goggles, and FB apps, among others. Am I thinking correctly that the deodexed version would be better used to accomplish that using Root Explorer? If I go with the odexed version, is it as simple as removing the .apk and the odex file?
Actually, that's my only question. LOL Any help anyone could provide would be great. Plan on going home and .sbf'ing to virgin state and loading this ROM. I know, I'm a little OCD. Thanks again for any help anyone can provide.

K, with that said, the differences between odexed and deodexed speeds are so miniscuale you should just run deodexed if you want to mod. I made some improvements (zipaligned) to the apks so that they run more efficiently than a normal deodexed apk. I'll have a nice rom out in a few days (or today, depends on the weather) that will have all the little under the hood tweaks that I include in my roms. I dont include those in the stock roms because I want people to have a choice. Hope this helps. Welcome aboard. Let me know if there are any features you'd like that you dont see.
Thanks for answering my Q metiCkOne. And I know what you mean about the .sbf. The only time I ever had an issue was when I tried to .sbf in a hurry and didn't realize my battery was at about 15 percent. The result was not good, as my phone turned into a brick. But you learn from that, right? If you tell me that the data/cache wipes are good enough, then that works for me. And all I look for in addition to a fully working ROM is wreless/wi-fi tether and a little overclocking, so I'm good to go with this, and you can stop now. The one thing I want is something I have not seen without downloading cyanogen: The power control widget in the notification pull-down. Apparently it takes a level of tweaking knowledge that is considerably over my head. Thanks again for the help, I really appreciate it.
In response to the power control in the pull down. MIUI has it, in fact that's where CM got the code for it. You wont see that in any true stock roms. I dont know if it's possible or not but if it is it would require some serious framework manipulation that I'm not interested in. lol. I know from dealing with MIUI that editing framework is not fun.
I dont know if you know or not but Jamezelle and I port MIUI updates weekly to the droid. It's a cool rom but not necessarily something I would recommend as a work horse. Below is the latest if you wanna try it.
