Since when does verizon have 4G? And what's it really matter if there aren't any 4G phones yet? (besides 4G routers)
Yeah... show me 4G in the Norfolk, VA area and then I'll get excited. Oh, and give me a phone that can use it.
Lol they always go after At&t. To be honest when you look at the commercials of verizon making fun of att 3g. Att responds saying they have coverage everywhere but doesn't clarify how much 3g. ATT is bsing there map now because its changed and doesn't tell you there coverages like Verizon does. I don't think At&t can really reply to this but it is amusing.
I was at the IACP Conference in Orlando a few weeks ago and spoke with the Verizon reps there that has information about the 4G network. What is going to happen is Verizon will begin to install 4G antennas basically before releasing the phones. The first 4G phone is currently rumored to appear around the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2011.
That was pretty much the main gist of it which I believe is smarter because they won't run into issues like those with Sprint.
Since when is VZ fastest ? It barely got 60 kbps for the last couple of months , tested that in 3 different states and the speed is still decreasing . Compared to that Sprint 3G is getting 1.5-2 Mbps 3G and 4-5 Mbps 4G . VZ data speeds are 100 slower than that .
Vz will be almost ten times faster when the 4g is released on all carriers in the US. Check it out. The LTE is alot faster than sprint, att or t mobile, there was a write up on this forum a few weeks back. Besides, now it may not be faster but it works, what is the use having all that speed and cant make a call. just my .02. dancedroid
In Tennessee I get around 800kbs-1.2mb at all times (1mbit+ obviously late at night)
With all the traveling I do for work, I agree with snoop 100%!!! I don't care much for the speeds (for now), but as long as I can call contacts and my wife, I'm golden! Also, with the way I use my Droid, Verizon's network is more than enough. :icon_ banana:Quote:
