The rumor mills are continuing to churn on an early Monday afternoon. Next up, we have for you some incredibly blurry images of a previously unseen Motorola handset. We don't know much about it yet, but from the leaked image, you can clearly see something that resembles the "Droid eye." As such, our gut instinct is that it will be be coming to Verizon, and possibly under "Droid" branding. For the lack of a better term, we will be calling this the Droid "Mini."
Along with the leaked photo comes a short 15-second video, showing off its vertical QWERTY slide-out, similar to what you'd find on the Palm Pre. From the looks of it, the Droid "Mini" is rather plasticky and small, with a screen no larger than 2.8". There are also 4 capacative buttons below the touchscreen, similar to what you'll find on the Droid 1. So, I guess Verizon may be reneging on their promise to save Droid branding for their high-end phones. But, hey... low-end phones need loving too.
Where will the Droid Mini fit in with Verizon? Well, a couple weeks ago, we relayed to you a similar low-end Motorola Verizon device, dubbed the WX445. Could the Droid "Mini" be the WX445 with a QWERTY slider? Both designs are rather similar, if you ask me. What do you think?
