I would say wipe data and cache 3x each and do another Nandroid restore
(along with kernel update after the install completes).

You probably just had a hiccup in your installation.

I have no reason to ditch it, works fine.

I have had way less problems, even most other people's problems revolve around clockwork, that leads me to stay with SPR. I even got a bricked phone that I put most of the blame on Clockwork and ROM Manager.

Not sure about the apps2sd. I thinksome people have gotten it working though.
Do this: run Quadrant on 2.1 See how long its sits at the 11/12 part of the CPU test. Install Froyo and see how long it sits at 11/12 of the same test.

    U will see a difference.
All that matters is how fast it works in normal use, not the benchmarks. Usually benchmarks correlate to a faster over-all phone but not always.

I guess the thread moves so fast responses get missed......

See I don't get this. Why should I care how long it takes for step 11/12 on some benchmark test? How is that going to improve my user experience in any way?
Because its actually using the app faster? Processing that part of the test on 2.1 takes longer. Try browsing with the stock browser on 2.1 and 2.2 See which one loads pages faster. Change the User Agent to Desktop and browse on 2.1 and 2.2 and see which one is faster.
I guess I should have said because of 2.2, the tests is completed faster.

I did a clean install of FroYo this morning, and everything is a-ok here. Using the 800mhz kernel, btw.

One way or another, people should get into the habit of wiping system and boot a few times. I've got experience with multiple phones and this always helps.

Rom manager is a diferent issue. I don't use it.

Again, read back through this thread and look at how many people had trouble with spr. Either they loose root, or can't get back into recovery, or have bootloops, etc.

I can wipe system/ boot with clockwork from the phone and don't have to rename everything to update.zip every time which is a HUGE advantage - I can apply whatever kernel I want without issue if I get a bootloop.

Even pete recomends clockwork. Its solid and has more features. People need to be formating boot and system and they are too lazy to do it with adb in spr. It would solve a lot of problems and save time and space on these boards.

I've flashed countless roms on multiple phones with clockwork and havnt had a single issue.

If you guys like having these issues then obviously no reason for me to complain, but most people would probably like to avoid the headache.

Boot/system formatting is my biggest issue, so people should at least be doing that. The ease of doing it with cw in-phone is a side issue. I just don't see the point of making things more difficult.

I'm not talking about rom manager at all.

That does not, unfortunately, make either of those the actual cause. FWIW, I've had good luck with both SPRecovery and Clockwork.

As Miami mentioned, Both are available and this is not the place for this discussion.
