I did a clean install of FroYo this morning, and everything is a-ok here. Using the 800mhz kernel, btw.

ROM: Incredibly Re-Engineered v2.3
One way or another, people should get into the habit of wiping system and boot a few times. I've got experience with multiple phones and this always helps.
Rom manager is a diferent issue. I don't use it.
Again, read back through this thread and look at how many people had trouble with spr. Either they loose root, or can't get back into recovery, or have bootloops, etc.
I can wipe system/ boot with clockwork from the phone and don't have to rename everything to update.zip every time which is a HUGE advantage - I can apply whatever kernel I want without issue if I get a bootloop.
Even pete recomends clockwork. Its solid and has more features. People need to be formating boot and system and they are too lazy to do it with adb in spr. It would solve a lot of problems and save time and space on these boards.
I've flashed countless roms on multiple phones with clockwork and havnt had a single issue.
If you guys like having these issues then obviously no reason for me to complain, but most people would probably like to avoid the headache.
Boot/system formatting is my biggest issue, so people should at least be doing that. The ease of doing it with cw in-phone is a side issue. I just don't see the point of making things more difficult.
I'm not talking about rom manager at all.
