We have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 double-header for you this morning. First up, the above pic is supposedly a photosphere (Samsung S Orb) pic taken from a new GNote3. According to the EXIF data on the pic, it originated from a phone with the model number, SM-N900T. This was previously rumored to be the model of the next generation Note phablet. We have to admit to being a bit skeptical about this pic's accuracy. That is because, if you look closely, the "little child" in the pic looks like a rendered creature from a Lord of the Rings knock off. The pic was found on Picassa, so of course it could easily be a fake. It could also be that this really is a photosphere pic from a GNote3, but someone added the little hobbit just to be different.
Update: I have since found a larger version of the pic in which you can figure out that the little kid in the pic is actually real. It appears when you shrink the pic it distorts it just enough to make the child seem "strange." As it turns out, he's actually a good looking little kid, and I humbly must "eat crow" for the mistake. Rather than edit it out completely as a correction, I felt it was a necessary act of contrition to leave my mistake up for all to marvel at my absent-minded and careless accidental cruelty!
That's not all we have for you guys, but this second bit of news might be slightly disappointing if it is true. According to a supposedly leaked benchmark (pic above) for the Galaxy Note 3, it will have 2.5GB of RAM instead of the 3GB as was previously rumored. Of course, this benchmark could be a fake as well. It's worth noting that it does confirm the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor from previous rumors, so it's not all bad news. There are a few more details worth sharing. Here they are in a quote,
As you can see, this second rumor is coming from @evleaks, which is usually a reliable source of info. It wouldn't surprise us in the least if Samsung was planning a cheaper version of the GNote3 for emerging markets. Luckily, the big reveal is tomorrow from Samsung and we will get all of this cleared up, forthwith! The display of the Note III will definitely be a Full HD one (1920 x 1080). It looks like there will be a cheaper model that sports an LCD screen, while the regular, more expensive Note III is getting an AMOLED panel. Another alleged difference between the two versions is the rear camera: 8MP vs 13MP. As for the screen size, this will likely be 5.68 inches regardless of the model.
EVleaks has it that the S Pen functionality of the Note III is “the same” as on the first two Notes. ~ UnWiredView
