Yea, that's ONE OF THE reasons. NOT.

They need to advertise, plain and simple. And they need to release a phone that works on every carrier.
    Kind of like Samsung did.
When's the last time you saw an HTC commercial? Was it the one for the HTC ONE X "O look, you can take a picture while shooting video!"
Cuz, y'know, personally I hate that I can't take a picture while shooting video... really HTC? That's your killer feature? *yawn*
And hey... while we are at it... how about we tell all our customers we are going to update their phones by certain dates... and miss those dates either entirely or by 6 months?

    Because that's the only reason I listed right. (;
If we all agree on it, it must be true.[citation needed]

And speaking of that, why are companies still making carrier specific phones? Seems dumb

very dumb indeed.. no ones leaving another carrier to come to Verizon for the DNA... I'm sure years ago many left their carrier to get an iPhone (att only) but the DNA and htc hardly have any kind of cult following or a phone better than the competition

    Fixed my original post. Happy?

UI has zero to do with anyone's success.
Samsung isn't killing it because of TouchWiz. Don't like the UI? There are at least 10 apps for that.

The DNA is in the top spot for my next phone. I think it would gain a lot of support if it was multi-carrier.

Isnt the DNA one of the best phone out right now?

Trying to decide on my next phone. I am torn between the DNA and the SGS3.

And don't forget that the One X never was released on Verizon, instead Verizon got the Droid Incredible 2.

not with that tiny battery that's not removable and 11gb of usable storage.
    Sony CM-B1201 > Samsung SCH-8500 > Motorola RAZR V3m > Samsung SCH-i760 > Motorola DROID X > HTC Thunderbolt > Samsung Galaxy Nexus/Motorola Droid Razr Maxx > Droid Maxx

I was HTC loyal for several years and thought that the DNA would be the natural upgrade for me. I walked out with the Note 2 instead and couldn't be happier. After years of bump charging my HTC phones to make it through the day, I can go a day and a half on my Note 2 on a moderate useage day, all day on a heavy useage day.

The non-removable battery and no SD slot on the DNA were deal breakers for me, and were the primary reasons that I left HTC behind. I'm an extremely brand loyal consumer, so making the switch was a big deal for me.

I really hope that HTC can get their mojo back - they served me well, but I was too disappointed in the two "downgrades" for me.

That's a pretty good assessment. Im not a heavy app user and am by a charger all day so those things dont bother me. The only thing I really store on my phone is picture. The 8gb SD in my D3 isnt even a quarter full.

The camera and the screen were the big selling points for me. Seems like it is still the phone for me. I just hope I dont have the issues ive been reading about, 1 more android phone with issues out the box and I may jump ship.

Maybe HTC just has a really incompetent R&D director..."our research indicates that people want smaller batteries...scored a 1...but oh, look, SenseUI got a 5"
