    Soak Test for Jelly Bean on the Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX Starting Soon

    Owners of the Motorola Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX will likely be thrilled to hear this news. Apparently a soak test for Jelly Bean on these devices will begin soon. Here's a snippet of the email that was sent out to devs and testers,

    Thanks for joining the Motorola Feedback Network. We are inviting owners of the Droid RAZR or Droid RAZR Maxx on Verizon to participate in an early preview of a new Jelly Bean software release, and provide feedback. If you are not currently using a Droid RAZR or Droid RAZR MAXX on Verizon, please excuse and ignore this email.
    If this soak test is successful, then we could see Jelly Bean on the device within a week or two! This calls for a droid happy dance. ===>

    YAY! I started to get the premature release in December, but it hung up on my phone and never completed the download. I will be doing the droid happy dance when I'm finally upgraded to Jelly Bean!

    I got the email 2 days ago, but since I'm on the Maxx HD, I had to pass :-( Excited to see it!

    That's very disappointing. I guess it will be PDAnet for me.

    PDAnet = FoxFi

    brucin, if you truly do not want to update to JB 4.1.2 and stay in ICS 4.0.4 to keep using FoxFi. Then you could just install the .215 ICS leak and that should take you off the update path. Just a suggestion.

    Or you can "freeze" the updater.
