Can't wait to upgrade my N7 to 4.2!
Nice to see other big Android fans also annoyed about the constant updates. FFS I am still on freaking GB for my Dinc2 and contract not up til spring. HTC 2 months late for the ICS update so looking like that's a bust.
Finally got ICS on my Thrive, but that's the end of the road for that device. Won't be getting a new tablet for QUITE a long time.
Every time I see what I have coined YAU (Yet Another Update) I just have to yawn and wonder what we will be on when I am eligible for a new one...
At this rate it's going to be YEARS before everyone is on JB... by then Peanut Butter will be out...
Though getting a Nexus device is a way to avoid any fragmentation. That's what I'll be doing from here on out.

Thank you to all who have served or are serving our great country. You're always in my thoughts and prayers.

I know some third party ROMs try to bring the new OS to older phones, but I'm thinking of my original Droid which is still in service. It runs great on Liquid Smooth Gingerbread, yet load up more than a couple of apps and it is sluggish, even pausing to respond when answering a phone call. There just isn't enough memory in that phone to run a newer OS as a daily driver. As old (relatively) as my TBolt is, at least it flies on Liquid Smooth Gingerbread (AOSP). I just wonder how it will do with ICS or JB when a reliable ROM comes out.
