Google Play Celebrates 25 Billion Downloads with 25¢ Apps, Books and Movies

And if you’re using Android, it all starts with Google Play, home to 675,000 apps and games. That’s a lot of choice. We’ve now crossed 25 billion downloads from Google Play, and to celebrate we’re offering some great discounts for the next five days.

Twenty-five billion is more than twice the distance, in miles, that the Voyager 1 spacecraft has traveled since its launch 35 years ago. It’s the amount of time, in minutes, that have passed since some of our earliest ancestors began to set foot in Europe. And now, thanks to all of you, it’s a Google Play milestone. We look forward to the next 25 billion.

I love these discounted app days. I tend to open my wallet more as there are times when I buy an app and end up not liking it and never touching it again. I'm not so frugal for .25c. Can't wait to see what is offered.

Don't waste even 25 cents on game loft or EA apps. They don't support their apps at all. Once the deal is over, they'll release a new full priced version in the store that you have no access to. So you end up with zero updates and support. Then sooner or later your device is "not compatible".
