The Quad Core processor in the Nexus 7 is doing greater things than most had even expected. It is being pushed to the limits by kernel devs. For a while now it has been overclockable to 1.6gHz where it was able to run pretty stable. Team "Clemsyn" has developed a kernel for the Nexus 7 that is capable of overclocking to 2.0gHZ. This kernel is not yet public as it has not been as stable they would like however they have publicly released a version that can be overclocked to 1.8gHz. While the kernel is very stable at 1.8gHz you will notice that they tablet does heat up quite a bit, or atleast i noticed one of the corners felt pretty hot when i tested this kernel out earlier today. There was also a pretty noticeable bump in performance! The 2.0gHz version of the kernel has reached quadrant scores of over 8000. I was reaching scores of over 6000 on the 1.8gHz version.
