One of our members in the forums, datboiwizzie, received a text message via his Verizon Wireless Mobile IM app that pretty much spells out that Android 4.0.x is on it's way. With all the rumors circulating of various release dates and server issues, this latest text message looks to be official confirmation that the update is days away. We can't see Big Red sending out a text of this nature and waiting another month to push out the update, but that's just us.
We'd like to hear from the community. Has anyone else received this message?
UPDATE: We are getting reports in from members (comments) and Facebook Fans that they are receiving the same message. A Xoom user reported also reported in. We're almost there.....

06-15-2012 09:15 AMThat long string of numbers at the top look like the type of number I get messages from re. Verizon (such as when I pay my bill) - so I see no reason why this couldn't be legit.

06-15-2012 09:24 AMJust got the same message from Verizon here in NC. I'm still running one of the first leaks so I can still go back to GB and follow the update path. I'm going to wait until everyone starts to get it, no point in going back to GB if VZW let's us down again. I hate to speculate but this looks very promising and as stated before, the number I got the message from is definitely one of those VZW numbers that tells you when you pay your bill... Could....almost....be....here!

06-15-2012 09:24 AMYeah same here those are the same looking numbers I get from Verizon from time to time. Also as a test I booted up the Mobile IM app and loaded my AIM account and have it running. Maybe they will send me one too
