Well the good news is devs have a software for moto devices to enable the gsm radios plus Verizon has issued that moto phones will be global now so u can grab ur fav moto devices an head over to a new carrier :-)
Looks like Verizon is getting greedy again just because they can.
This could be the beginning of the end for them with the current state of the economy & cell phones being primarily a big luxury for most.
Those that use them for there main phone number to avoid land lines may go back to land lines to save money or just plain cut out the data phones.
I currently have 3 phones on a family share plan with Unlimited data plans for about $200.00 a month.
Just going to there unlimited everything with about 6 gigs (which would not be enough) will cost me $200.00 a month & I would be capped with the worry of going over on data.
I use 3-4 gigs myself & that is just everyday stuff. No streaming of any radio, cloud music or movies.
So how is this a cost savings or piece of mind.
Hard to believe those numbers are correct.
It's not even necessarily a savings for some families that could be sharing 2000 minutes or whatever. And the data prices are whacked. I find those data prices to be rather outrageous and question their accuracy. I could see it if they created more value on the call/texts, but I think for a lot of families that were only paying $10 for each additional line there's no value there.
I'm outraged and called Verizon and told them so.
Who do they they're kidding!
No customer loyalty what so ever. I've been with them 8 years so they screw me and others like me!
So if I get this right, my Bro has 2 kids and they all have smartphones, now that is 4 smartphones, so I would asume he would need the 10 GIG plan, which would run him $260 a month and with taxes close to $300 a month, that is $3,600 a year, yea right, wait till I give him the news.
