It looks like Amazon is hoping to recoup some of the money they lose with every Kindle Fire sale by offering ads that will show up on the welcome screen of their popular e-readers. These ads will set you back $600,000 for two months of advertising that shows up every time the device boots. So far advertisers haven't shown much excitement towards the new program, but instead have expressed concern that the ads might cause anger among consumers. Currently it is unknown whether Amazon will bring these ads to all Kindle Fires or only to future ad-supported models. We'll let you know as more details become available.
