haha This is why I feel some detachment between citizens... We are talking about private property and it is up to them to do their business as they see fit.. Gone is the day where competitions are good and now they all set the same standard and it is up to the consumers to choose what's available. There are no laws that required competing companies to set price differently, what's not allowed is that owners/CEOs of the responsible parties can't get together in a secret meeting and talking about monopolizing the target market. The numbers of millionaires/entrepreneurship with good value of doing what's right to challenge existing corporations are diminishing rapidly. Good example is Billionaire Telco Mogul of Carlos Sim.

I paid full retail when the Razr came out in Nov as a pre-emptive strike against such a move, so I'm not thrilled about any changes to unlimited data. That said, I'm going to keep my powder dry and will wait for an official announcement, especially to see exactly how this will affect those of us who already have unlimited 4G plans.

On another note, I keep reading about how some of you plan to jump to Sprint. VZW could care less - they will keep rolling in the $$$ with or without you. The vast majority of the population doesn't care about this. It's mainly those of us who are 'gadget geeks' who care and we are a very very small percentage of VZW's customer base. My prediction is that very few who talk about jumping to Sprint will actually do it, and many of those who do will come back eventually due to poor coverage and/or extremely slow data. VZW knows this - they aren't stupid.

Bottom line, it sucks, but it is what it is. Welcome to 2012.

Depends on the state. VZ may be great but it lacks pending what state and county you're in. And I personally don't care what VZ thinks about me switching. Lol

I hope you're right, but I've also read that you will lose it if/when you purchase a subsidized phone. Time will tell.

Is this based on anything other than the initial article?
If you always seem to have drama in your life, you are probably the one causing the drama.
If customer service representatives or restaurant servers always seem to be rude to you, you are probably the one being rude.
If your computer always seems to be freezing up on you, you're probably doing something wrong.

In my experience, drama begets drama, rudeness begets rudeness, and ineptitude begets ineptitude.

Just came across this article: 7 reasons to shred your wireless contract and switch to pre-paid | Android and Me

Found it somewhat pertinent to this discussion.

Number 7 really caught my eye - I wish VZW would do this exact plan. $30/month for 100 talk minutes, unlimited text, and "Unlimited" "4G" data (throttled over 5GB) is pretty much the ideal plan for me as I hardly ever talk due having an office phone and a cox land-line that is virtually free in my bundle and I hardly ever go over 3gb of data but even if I'm on a high usage month I wouldn't have to worry about overages, just generally slow connection.

Edit: Just saw this link, too: http://www.droid-life.com/2012/05/17...o-shared-data/

Yeah your safe until you upgrade your phone.

As stated a long time ago by verizon: when upgrading you will have to pick a plan that is currently available (offered) at the time of upgrade.

Seems everyone forgot that this was said in a statement January 2011.
