HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE Officially Announced for Verizon Wireless

It's been easy to be distracted by all the HTC One series phones from HTC, but that doesn't mean that is HTC's only game, especially since the One Series phones have not been announced for Verizon yet. Regardless, if you are one of those users that doesn't prefer the larger screens of the HTC One X and the HTC One S, then this phone may be exactly what you were looking for. The HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE has now been officially announced for Verizon's network. It has nearly the same specs as the HTC One X and One S, but just packs a smaller 4-inch screen. Is this supposed to be their Flagship Phone for this year or is their another one we can see from HTC. The specs are ok but compared to others its a step back, LCD isn't the best. I'm really wanting to see a Flagship Phone to compare with the Galaxy S3 but it seems the Galaxy S3 is the phone to beat or get. Anyone know if theirs going to be a Flagship one from HTC soon????

so why does it look like the rezound? LOL

I know there will be some naysayers, but I absolutely can't wait for this device, and here's why...

• ICS: It'll be running ICS out of the box, and even though it's a little heavier than Moto's ICS, Sense ICS is extremely smooth and nice.
• S4: As with all the devices going forward it appears on VZW, it'll have the S4, which should be a much more efficient chipset for LTE, helping with 4G/3G issues that have plagued LTE devices to date, improving LTE battery life, etc.
• Size: It won't be "too big". As with the previous Inc phones, it looks like it'll be the "perfect" size, for me anyway. It should be pretty thin, too (again, S4 helps with this as you don't need as much of the "guts" to have LTE any more)
• Screen: I know it's not HD, but on that size of a screen, it should still look excellent, plus that should help contribute to my next point...
• Battery Life: For anybody that's owned any HTC device since about the Inc 2, you know that HTC has done a really good job, for the most part, of getting the most bang for your buck on the battery, and done a great job when the phone "idles" as well. The Inc2 was great. The Sensation lineup was great (easily 1-2 days on both of those phones). The Rezound is great, relatively speaking, considering the battery size, HD screen, and LTE. The Thunderbolt might be the one exception - but I could argue it was still good, just hampered by being the LTE guinea pig of them all. I could go 2 days on my home Wifi on the Thunderbolt, and a day easy on 3G only. But obviously with LTE, that thing died faster than a termite in the sun. So I look forward to another HTC LTE device, with a bigger battery than they've ever used before, running on the S4 chip.
• All the other HTC pluses... camera, voice/call quality, etc.

It's a dual core Thunderbolt!

I think a 4 inch phone makes sense (pun intended) because you do have customers who want a smaller handset. With that said vzw might want to be respectible with the pricing on this phone. This phone is more of a niche phone than a flagship device. I do not see this being a blockbuster device.

I have my thoughts of the phone which is mostly negative but only for the cosmetics not the actual hardware nor software. I'm gonna check it first.
Think HTC flagship phone will be whatever competes with the Galaxy Note.

Couldn't they have just called it the Incredible 3. I despise have 4G shoved on a phones name.

I'm looking forward to this phone and plan on getting it the day it's released (whenever that is). I currently have the Thunderbolt so this phone is going to be a step up/step down for me. The only negative is that I'm going to have a 4.0 screen instead of a 4.3... not a big negative but I got the Thunderbolt for the screen size. The plus for this phone is dual core, S4 processor, qhd (should look great on a 4.0 screen).

From what I've been reading about HTC Sense 4.0 the camera will be amazing... rapid shots, no waiting for the camera to adjust, record a video and then take a still shot from that video, smart flash, and hdr. This phone will have those features with the camera, right? It should because the phone will have Sense 4.0 out of the box...
