It seems that one mystery is solved, but leaves another plot hole dangling. After being practically caught red-handed by internet cyber-sleuths, RIM has admitted to starting the anti-Apple "Wake Up" flash-mob/protestors ad campaign.
Now we know who was behind the mystery campaign, but we still have no idea why, or in what direction RIM plans to take things. They plan on sharing their plans in about a week, so we won't have to wait long to find out. The question remains... does anyone really care? Here is the quote of their confession:
On a separate note, it's funny that Samsung ended up getting a ton of free press from this ad campaign because everyone jumped to the conclusion that it was their handiwork. Lucky Sammy...“We can confirm that the Australian ‘Wake Up’ campaign, which involves a series of experiential activities taking place across Sydney and Melbourne, was created by RIM Australia. A reveal will take place on May 7th that will aim to provoke conversation on what ‘being in business’ means to Australians.”
