I don't know here they're generally associated with low quality, entry level, cheap prepaid carrier smartphones. I don't see how this could be good for Moto.

I'm dating myself now, but you remember Mongoose bikes from the 80s and 90s? $400 and on up, super lightweight, magnesium frames super high end BMX bikes etc. Mongoose now? crappy cheap low quality wal mart specials.

I remember those bikes! I wanted one of those things for years and years, growing up as a young kid. That sucks to hear about their quality now...nothing lasts forever, I guess! Nice flashback, though!

Google wanted Motorola for it's patents. Now that they have the patents they can license (even for free) their patents to any manufacturer that is making an Android device (they can make money from licensing to other OS device makers). They can sell off MM and ease any fears from the other manufacturers about MM getting preferential treatment from Google/Android.

So what your saying is kind of a strip mining operation of one the best American companies we have left.
