HTC One X and HTC One S Benchmarked in 4 Videos

We have a slew of benchmark videos for you guys showing off the newly announced HTC One X and HTC One S smartphones. The HTC One X is powered by a NVIDIA Quad-Core Tegra 3 processor; however, if you compare these benchmarks to the HTC One S and/or any other phones, it's important to keep in mind you may be comparing Apples to Oranges. The HTC One S may only have the dual-core S4 processor from Qualcomm, but the 4.7-inch (1280 x 720) on the One X features 78% more pixels that the 4.3-inch (960 x 540) display on the One S, so this actually skews those performance numbers as the One X must try harder to push almost twice as many pixels at once. You may be shocked to find that the One S actually puts up a better Quadrant score than the HTC One X.

Regardless, both phones put up some impressive numbers and give us a great peek at the performance of this year's new flagship phones. Even the dual-core S4 puts up better numbers than last year's dual-core chips, owing to the improved efficiency and architecture. Sound off your thoughts in the forums. Here are the results followed by the rest of the videos:

    HTC One X benchmarks
    • Quadrant: 4,560
    • Linpack: 62
    • AnTuTu: 10,112
    • Nenamark2: 52.0 fps

    HTC One S benchmarks
    • Quadrant: 4,828
    • Nenamark2: 60.6 fps

well the S4 is no joke either....its a nice little processor, as well is the adreno 225. I wish the rezound had the s4 the one s has. I would still have it....

Considering I've gotten my Nexus pushing quadrant scores only 800 or so points lower, and only at 1350MHz (I haven't tested yet at 1600+...though the phone handles it easily, just not using the right kernel ATM), and hitting the 80s and low 90s Linpack...I actually expected more from these phones. Quadrant isn't the best anyways since the Nexus pumps out 60fps on each of the 2D and 3D tests consistently, thereby racking up tons there from maxing that out.

I do wish though that that processor played nicely with LTE...I'm guessing that those are GSM models? I know those can't be playing in Big Red's turf?

I loathe the day my Nexus goes the way of the OG Droid, and rests somewhere towards the bottom of the Quadrant list.

I'm sorry, but does anyone else think this version of HTC sense looks like it should be an older version? HTC Sense on other phones like the Rezound and Thunderbolt look way better... this looks a lot more boring to me.
