Amidst the clamoring of all things mobile at the Mobile World Congress in Spain, StumbleUpon announced an update to their mobile app for Android today that will feature a bevy of new features. Android users can look forward to a deeper integration to Google+ as well as improved sharing capability through Android Beam, the Bump-like app that allows users to share information by simply touching the backs of two Android devices together.
StumbleUpon is the easiest way to discover new and interesting things from across the Web. Simply tap the “Stumble!” button, or swipe your device’s screen to discover photos, videos, web pages and more, recommended by people sharing your Interests. You can also follow Channels–-sites, people and brands you may already know––and explore content hand-picked by Channel curators.
What's in this version:
Redesigned Home Screen: The home screen is now simpler, more visual and easier to use
Channels: Follow Channels (sites, people and brands) and Stumble a Channel’s Likes
Google Sign in: Use your Google Account to sign in
Widget: Preview content directly from the device home screen
Bug Fixes: Improved stability and bug fixes based on member feedback
